Comment: I would be interested in hearing from anyone who was grade 9/10 during this time. Live in the UK now, married, two kids! Seems an age since I left. (1981-1983)

Comment: We have moved to Suzhou, China for a couple of years! My husband is head of  Quality at his company's plant located here. It is exciting to be living overseas again! Our youngest son is with us and will attend an International School here. Unfortunately, it means missing the Chicago 2009 Reunion. I missed the last Chicago Reunion as we were moving to California that summer...

Comment: As I get older, I think more and more of the years I had in elementary. They were the funnest years of my life. I wish I could remember more people, more faces, I
wish I had kept in touch. Those memories were priceless. I would pay a handsome reward for my final year school book, or any for that matter! My brother Rodbe, Nenpan my sister Delma and Ripmakat also went to Hillcrest! e-mail Mais29@aol.com

Comment: Wow, people I have thought of so often but thought I would never hear about. Brad Driggers...you may have been my first date at Hillcrest. I think it was the school play and you asked if you could hold my hand. :) Murray Brown from Nassarawa... you probably don't remember me, I was the little 6th grader in the dorm who could crawl between the burglar bars to help the high schoolers sneak out to TP yards and then let you back in. How how can we get more of the Assembly of God alumni to the reunions? Murray and Brad do you have their contact info? The Cobbs, Verla, Metzes, Hargroves, Ciminos, Amona Sue, Marcia Hill...Hey, Ellen Bulthuis, my sister Amy will be so excited to see your name below.

Comments: My brother, Kevin found this site today and I had to check it out. Of course I had to get out the long buried year books and pictures. What a trip down memory lane! Has it really been 37 years? Every Easter I remember climbing the plateau for sunrise services. How exciting it was to spend our allowance on candy on Saturdays. But best of all was getting a letter from home when the mail came. Those were the early years. Later we moved into the hostels. I was in Nassarawa. Oh the fun we had with ping pong tournaments, water balloon fights, sneaking out at night and toilet papering other hostels. I'm sure kids are better behaved now. I am thankful for those years and all the unique experiences.

Comment: Just found this website and lo and behold, I recognize a familiar name from Kumasi. I would very much like to converse with others who have experienced life in the '60s @ Jos. My sister Kathy and I have a lot of memories of the old boarding school  days.

Comment: Would love to hear from those of you who were there in the late 70's, especially from the class of '82.

From: Brad Driggers

Comment: I have thoroughly enjoyed conversing w/ people that share the same memories of a school so far away in space and in time.  "Unique" doesn't begin to describe it and it's just wonderful to talk w/ people again that can relate.

Comment: I was at Hillcrest from 1970-76 in grades 1-6. So I remember things from grade school.  But I didn't graduate with my class.  My cousin, however, came to Hillcrest after I left and she was in the same grade.  She graduated with the class of 1984 so I've kept some connection with her.Her name is Karen Vander Steen Van Wyk.
Thanks for trying to get it up and running.
When I went on the Hillcrest School website, they had a link for Alumni, but it seemed to be down.  Maybe a link to their website would be helpful? Joy
